At True Pet Kitchens, we believe pets deserve better.
What started as a search for healthier treats for one tiny Chihuahua quickly grew into a passion for creating premium pet products made with real, high-quality ingredients and no unnecessary fillers or shortcuts.
Today, True Pet Kitchens is a San Diego-based pet wellness company specializing in small-batch treats, toppers, frozen food, chews, and wellness supplements for dogs and cats.
We focus on products that support whole-body wellness — from nutrition and digestion to skin, coat, mobility, and emotional balance.
Every product is thoughtfully made with ingredient quality, transparency, and safety in mind — because pets are family.
How It Started
One Chihuahua named Sophie
Growing up in Canada, animals were always a huge part of my life. From my childhood dogs to horses I cared for while working at a riding stable, I learned early on how deep the bond between humans and animals can be.
After college, I adopted my Chihuahua, Sophie.
Like many small dogs, Sophie was not incredibly food motivated — and treats quickly became part of our everyday training and routine. But I struggled to find treats that aligned with the way I believed pets should be fed.
Many products on the market contained preservatives, fillers, glycerin, or ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. Others were overly processed, brittle, or simply didn’t feel like real food.
So I started making my own.
What started in a small kitchen with one Chihuahua named Sophie has grown into a trusted pet wellness brand serving customers across the United States.
